Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) Services
In New Jersey, remediation is overseen by a Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP). Pursuant to the 2009 Site Remediation Reform Act (N.J.S.A. 58:10C-1 et seq.), properties with confirmed contamination exceeding the state quality standard for soil, groundwater, or air are subject to Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA). Under this rule, property owners are obligated to complete a remedial investigation or “cleanup”. The State of New Jersey has instituted a licensing program to empower private environmental professionals to assist property owners in obtaining regulatory closure. The NJ LSRP is responsible for oversight of all Preliminary Assessment (PA), Site Investigation (SI), Remedial Investigation (RI) and Remedial Action (RA) projects. Upon completion of all remediation and reporting activities the LSRP issues a Response Action Outcome (RAO) documenting and approving the final remedial action.
